Designing Boston & Going Global with SmartBear

A leading, worldwide provider of software development and visibility tools, SmartBear commissioned AFH to design and install a large-scale graphic mural to co-exist with the existing cityscape images located throughout their newly renovated headquarters at Assembly Row. AFH’s Graphic Design team superbly captured a Boston skyline in this 9’x39’ graphic mural, including the iconic Zakim Bridge.
Impact
“I learned how to talk to new people, meet new companies and make new connections.”
Trisha Vo Teen Designer
Through this commission, Teen Designer Trisha Vo not only learned the difference between hardware and software, but learned how to ”talk to new people, meet new companies and make new connections.” Before joining AFH, Trisha doodled, but had no experience with graphic design and didn’t consider herself an artistic person. And now, “being around [my mentors and other teen artists] who know so much about art made me feel more like an artist and learn [a whole lot] more.”
Teen Artist Jamaica Hubbert Walters, who walked Boston with her camera to take reference photos for the team, said “[the process] is like a potluck, everybody brings their own food, and [then] eats each other's food.”

And on top of all this great impact, we went global, with Businesswire and The Middle East North Africa Financial Network online publications acknowledging us for our creative contribution to SmartBear’s enhanced interior.
