The Last Greatest Party on Earth
After 15 years of our annual fundraiser celebrating Earth Day, The Greatest Party on Earth (GPOE) had its last hoorah in honor of our 30th anniversary and the retirement of our Founding Executive/Artistic Director, Susan Rodgerson. To celebrate this momentous milestone, AFH raised $750,000 from 30 supporters at $30,000 each, as part of our "30-for-30" campaign. We also successfully closed the 3:1 match for our Lynch Legacy challenge grant at the event, securing $2M for the Hale-Lynch Legacy Fund, our first ever transition and operating reserves fund.
The Last GPOE was attended by over 600 guests across all industries and represented 30 years of supporters. Guest of honor Peter Lynch, of The Lynch Foundation, spoke about our dynamic partnership and history as one of our first foundation supporters in 1991. Susan Rodgerson closed the program by speaking about the profound impact AFH has made on her life. It was a moving and memorable evening that commemorated Susan's legacy and marked the beginning of a new era.
